VANCOUVER, October 8, 2026 — Epistema today announced an implemented AI governance capability for agent actions running through NVIDIA OpenShell. The work extends Epistema’s product from agent assurance handoffs toward governance at the point of consequential business action.
Earlier A2A work with Microsoft Foundry on Azure showed a Foundry-hosted agent invoking Epistema’s deployed assurance service and receiving a structured, read-only assessment. The OpenShell integration adds a complementary action path: OpenShell enforces the agent’s sandbox and request policy, while Epistema evaluates whether current business evidence still supports the proposed action.
In a supplier-invoice scenario grounded in SAP’s documented workflow, an authenticated OpenShell sandbox sent a request aligned with SAP’s published Release API. The request succeeded while the relevant commitment was ready. After compliance evidence changed, the identical request was denied with HTTP 403 before a second release reached the target service.
This capability is part of Epistema’s continuing product work to lead in AI Governance as a Service across agent platforms and enterprise workflows. The SAP-facing service in this demonstration was a controlled implementation of the documented Release action; the work did not connect to a SAP tenant or execute a production payment.
